While renovating an existing 1970s beach house, a new pavilion retreat is also created as a contemporary interpretation of the existing home.  With the addition of a separate pavilion, rather than an extension to the existing house, the accommodation enables the family to grow as it becomes multi-generational.

At its core, the design provides an unpretentious family holiday retreat where one can totally switch off and get back to basics.  As much significance is placed on the landscape and outdoor space as to any of the interior living spaces.
