By paring back the language of an existing 1970s house, the interior is rearranged to be as fluid as possible.  A series of gathering spaces are arranged surrounding a central garden, and a layering of various landscape connections is made between front, middle and rear gardens.

The new first floor addition is sited not only to maximise northern light throughout the site, but to provide a quiet contemporary presence within a heritage streetscape.
